OK so this is not the most exciting page on the Potting Shed Blog....but this is really important stuff. We value the privacy of anyone joining the Potting Shed mailing list (to do that just send us an email or message, we'd be happy to add you) or anyone coming to a Potting Shed event.

Statement
At
The Potting Shed we are the data controller and will be the ones in charge of
holding personal data, which will be stored on a password-protected electronic
devices. This data will not be written down or shared with any third parties unless
there are legitimate circumstances.
What
personal data are we asking for?
We
may store your name, phone number and email address for the purpose of getting
in contact with you for our training events.
What
is the legitimate reason you are collecting the data, eg what are you going to
use it for?
We
only collect data for the purpose of contacting you to notify you of our
events, updates, and in case of any cancellations that may occur.
Is
there a chance you may share your data?
We
will not share your data unless there is a legitimate or lawful reason.
How
will you store your data?
Your
data will be stored on a password-protected electronic devices such as a Mac,
IPad or IPhone.
How
long will we store your data?
We will comply with the provisions
of the Data Protection Act 1998 and in line GDPR (the EU General Data
Protection Regulations) and
keep all data only as long as we need it for use, either for mailing list or
for attendees of training events. For instance - data will be deleted at the
point that anyone leaves the mailing list.

If
you have any concerns about how we have handled your data, you can raise this
with us where possible in the first instance. If you are still not satisfied
you can complain to he Information Commissioners Office (ICO) on 0303 123 1113
or at www.ico.org.uk which is the data privacy supervisory authority in
the UK.
